Treat Yourself With A Glass Of This Divine Drink

This is indeed a divine drink that is both refreshing and nourishing and the best thing is that you can give it to your kids and don’t worry that you are loading them with artificial sugars. Sooo, I present to you Probiotic Lemon Coconut Lassi that comes straight from nature!

Lemon Coconut Lassi: Is It A Drink Or A Vitamin Bomb In A Glass?

This drink has some of the most incredible ingredients that your body will absolutely love. The main ingredient you need for the base of this Lemon Coconut Lassi is coconut yogurt; it’s great because of it’s subtle coconut flavour that allows all the other flavours to shine and enrich the drink. Coconut yogurt can be found in a supermarket or your local health food store, but maybe the best option is to make your own. After a lot of attempts to make coconut yogurt, I finally mastered it! Check out my blog on how to make coconut yogurt at home and enjoy its glory.

The yogurt already has its acid but we’ll couple that with lemon acid, and trust me, it will be absolutely spectacular. I also add freshly grated ginger and turmeric, which will not only lift up the flavour of your Lemon Coconut Lassi to new heights, but they will also boost it up with more vitamins and minerals. We’ll need a kick of sweetness to balance out the coconut and lemon combo, so we’ll add some maple syrup.

Probiotic Lemon Coconut Lassi

I like this lassi with a slushy texture, so I add loads of ice. It’s very simple from here – throw everything into your blender and press Play! You’ll get a very refreshing lassi with a spectacular flavour; it’s almost as if you gave a tropical twist to Indian flavours. Chef’s pro tip on having fresh ginger and turmeric all year round: I find ginger and turmeric to be really divine ingredients and I like to have them in my kitchen all the time. There may be some of you who can find fresh ginger and turmeric only in certain seasons, but I have a simple trick for you. Just buy loads of these roots, chop them into small pieces and freeze. I found that the best way to freeze ingredients is with the amazing Cryovac machine. Check out my blog on how to store nuts and seeds where I talk about the benefits of storing ingredients with Cryovac.
